In «À la belle étoile» (Sugar and Stars), directed by Sébastien Tulard, with Georges portrays a legendary Chef, idolized by Yazid Ichemrahen (Riadh Belaïche).
This dramatic comedy, written by the first-time director with Cédric Ido, tells the tale of the incredible destiny of Yazid Ichemrahen, the world’s youngest pastry champion, who overcame many daunting obstacles in his youth. He was entrusted to a foster family before finding his way, in addition to experiencing the hardships of street-life and numerous abuses in homes for young workers.
Georges’ character, Charles Bauchon, is inspired by legendary Chef Joël Robuchon whom Yazid idolized. Riadh Belaïche stars as Yazid, with co-stars including Chantal Lauby, Loubna Abidar and Pascal Legitimus. Well-known French comedian Jamel Debbouze is co-producer.
“It’s not a classic Cinderella story like American filmmakers tend to do. It’s very realistic as we see Yazid struggling between those two worlds for a while before making it,” according to Bac Films
